Welcome to The Village Medical Centre

The Village Medical Centre was established by Dr Elaine Murphy in October 2012. Situated just off the South Link Road and opposite St.Finbarr’s GAA club in Togher, this new and purpose built premises is centrally located and on the number 214 and 219 bus routes. Dr Elaine Murphy provides high quality, personal and continued care to all patients and Private, Medical Card and EHIC holders are all welcome. Students attending colleges and language schools in Cork, who are temporarily residing in the area are very welcome.

Dr Elaine Murphy

Dr Elaine Murphy is an honours graduate of University College Cork and completed the G.P. Training Programme. She is a member of the Irish College of General Practitioners and holds diplomas in Child Health (DCH) and Women’s Health (DOWH). Having gained advanced certification in Family Planning, Mirena and Implanon insertion, Dr Murphy is also a tutor in Mirena and Implanon insertion. She has also completed courses in Cyriax orthopaedic medicine.

Dr Elaine has worked in Australia in general and emergency medicine and returned to Cork late in 2001 to work in general practice. She opened her purpose built family practice in October 2012 at the Village Medical Centre in Togher, Cork.

Dr Gergely Kasa

Dr. Gergely Kasa (Dr. Greg) graduated in Hungary. 
He first specialized in General Medicine working in hospitals and from 2007 he started to work as a GP in the city of Miskolc, Hungary.
In 2010 he relocated to Ireland and established his own GP practice in Williamstown, Co. Galway.  He worked there for 13 years.
Dr. Greg is a member of the Irish College of General Practitioners. 
He completed Aesthetic (Botox Treatment etc.) and Minor Surgery courses. 
He joined Dr. Elaine Murphy in The Village Medical Centre in June, 2024 on a full time basis.

Have an Emergency?

Urgent Medical Care outside of normal surgery hours is provided by Southdoc.

If you need to see a G.P. between 18.00hrs in the evening and 08.00hrs the following morning, please telephone (0818) 355-999. Southdoc also provide out of hours cover over the weekend and bank holidays when the G.P. surgery is closed.
